Intergenerational Latine & Hispanic Storytelling Guide - Penguin Publishing Group

Penguin’s Intergenerational Latine & Hispanic Storytelling Guide is a celebration of rich and diverse Latine & Hispanic identities, featuring 100+ books that span categories, geography, cultures, and more. The guide includes genres like historical fiction, nonfiction, literary novels, and romance for Adults and Young Readers. This cross-divisional campaign between Penguin Publishing Group, and Penguin Young Readers, was a unique, first-of-its-kind partnership for the groups.

To get our books in the hands of readers, we partnered with Little Free Library and Taller Puertorriqueño to distribute featured books across 11 U.S cities in 9 states: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Philadelphia and Texas. The campaign announcement post included a social giveaway so that two lucky winners could win a bundle of the featured titles regardless of proximity to a physical book drop location.
The intention was to showcase and drive awareness of the breadth and depth of Penguin titles by and about Latine & Hispanic people in a booklist that we hope has something for everyone. In particular, that encourages people to read these stories in community and across generations all year long. In that spirit, we encourage readers to choose books to read with loved ones and discuss reading experiences together using some of our guided questions.
